Northglenn Ambulance is a combination paid-volunteer service providing primary 911, interfacility BLS, ALS and CCT transport, special event standby and 911 overflow services in Denver, Commerce City and beyond. We are always accepting applications and interviews are scheduled on an as-needed basis. We employ EMTs, paramedics, registered nurses as well as non-medical staff in our dispatch and billing departments. Paid staff are preferentially hired from our volunteer pool. Volunteering is an excellent way to start or continue your EMS career while learning our system and protocols. Many long-time paid staff started with NGA as volunteers.
All EMS personnel must hold valid and current Colorado State and national registry EMS certifications, a valid driver's license, and a valid and current CPR card.
EMT's must possess IV certification at hire or within 30 days of hire.
Paramedics must possess the following at hire: ACLS, PALS, advanced trauma certification (PHTS, ATLS, etc.) is preferred.
Graduate Paramedics: Colorado State EMT must be current. A class completion certificate must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Critical care or flight certified paramedics are desired.
RN's must possess at hire: CEN, or, CCRN, or FCRN, and have current certifications in TNCC, ENPC, ACLS, and PALS.
If you are contacted for an interview the applicant is expected to completed a written test of knowledge and successfully attend an oral interview.
Submission of an application does not guarantee the individual an invitation to test and interview.
